7 Steps

3 - Development Languages, Requirements and Compatibility

Step 1 - Structure Step 3 - Requirements Step 5 - Development Step 7 - Deployment
Step 2 - Layout Step 4 - Design Step 6 - Testing Quotes

Building a website that doesn't work or your target audience can't use is pointless. So before the website is designed the requirements needed to make sure it does work have to be decided on.

While this step may seem confusing when first approached, DiJ8 Ltd will make sure you understand exactly what it all means. Even a rudementary understanding is unnecessary as the consequences of choices will be explained in as much detail as required so that you are making educated decisions.

The hosting platform the final website will be contained on needs to be agreed. This is to make sure the development languages used are supported by the hosting platform. Any additional features, like databases, email response forms, and bulletin board style online posting forums, need to be agreed upon at this step.

DiJ8 Limited develops websites using Active Server Pages (ASP) as the server-side development language. Databases can be in either Microsoft Access or Microsoft SQL. Client-side languages DiJ8 Ltd is fluent in are HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript and VBScript.

The Internet browsers the website needs to be compatible with needs to be agreed upon. The client-side languages used by DiJ8 Ltd are compatible with most current Internet browsers. Some features may be limited by which Internet browsers support them. If any of these features are used DiJ8 Limited will endeavour to point these out before the development stage.
